The Just World Fallacy theory was theorized, studied and developed in the United States and Canada. The earliest research was conducted in Kentucky. Criticism and development of the theory has also been focused on research in North America.
So a question arises, is there a cultural bias underlying the just world fallacy? Is there some kind of cultural conditioning going on in “Western” societies to cause this that might not exist in some “Eastern” societies? This is a very reasonable question to ask. At the moment, I don’t have an answer.
